Activation FAQs

Where do I find my activation code?

A: You can find your 11-12 digit activation code in the activation booklet provided with your T-Mobile No Annual Contract phone. You’ll need this code to activate your phone online.

What if I can’t find my activation booklet/code?

A: If you’ve lost or misplaced your activation code, call our activations line for assistance: 1-877-778-2107.

If I’m switching from another company, can I keep my phone number?

A: Yes, as long as it’s eligible, you can keep your number with your new phone/device. You can check your number eligibility before you activate. Once eligibility has been confirmed, activate your existing number by calling 1-800-937-8997. Make sure you have your activation code, SIM, and IMEI numbers available, to help complete the activation process.

How long does it take to activate my service?

A: It can take up to 2 hours for your account to be fully active. You will receive a text message on your No Annual Contract phone/device to confirm that it’s ready to use.

When do I select my rate plan?

A: You will be able to select a rate plan when you activate your phone/device online.
